Description
Etuners Parts ET425 is a hybrid turbocharger, developed by Etuners Parts engineers based on the IS38 platform for transversely mounted engines EA888 Gen3. This model is aimed at projects where quick response, confident spool, and stable operation across a wide RPM range while maintaining good power potential are important.
The design features a billet compressor wheel with a 6+6 blade configuration, providing efficient airflow and stable compressor operation under load. The compressor housing is precisely machined on CNC equipment to ensure the correct clearance and geometry matching of the new wheel.
On the turbine side, a lightweight 8-blade turbine wheel is used, which provides good exhaust gas flow and contributes to the quick response of the turbocharger. This configuration is well-suited for street and racing projects where a balanced combination of spool and performance is required.
This version uses a journal bearing cartridge (Journal Bearing CHRA). This design is characterized by reliability, stable operation, and is well-suited for configurations where a proven solution with good longevity is required under proper operation and tuning.
Each turbocharger undergoes multi-stage balancing. First, individual rotating elements are balanced, after which the assembled cartridge undergoes final inspection, ensuring stable operation, low vibration levels, and turbine longevity.
As a result, a hybrid turbocharger has been created, focused on quick response, confident pull in the mid-range, and stable operation at increased boost. Calculated power - up to 425 hp.
